The Wine and Vine Club is a support organization for the Viticulture (grape growing) and Enology (winemaking) school at Surry Community College as well as the North Carolina grape and wine industry. The club has been structured and modeled after the traditional type clubs of SCC. This method has proved difficult for the organization and at times the club has struggled to remain in existence. The students that enroll in the V/EN classes tend not to be traditional college students. Typically they are older. Most are engaged in full time employment. Many commute longer distances. The VEN classes are evening classes. Some students go after the degree at a full time pace but many take one class at a time working slowly through the program.

Maybe with this website as a new backbone the Club can reform and try to serve the less traditional student and also the alumni.
